Mechanism of Action
Zyprexa is an atypical antipsychotic drug that has been used to treat mental health disorders, such as schizophrenia. Drug Interaction:Sertraline (Zyprexa) and duloxetine (Cymbalta) are cross-tendency drugs. They both increase the levels of drowsiness, sedation, and weight gain in older adults. In the case of sertraline, duloxetine, and trimetamol (Cymbalta), they both increase the level of the drug in the blood. The concomitant use of sertraline and trimetamol is associated with a significant increase in the incidence of seizures, seizures with aura, and seizures with a family history of the condition.
